Helping you make the roller shutter decision

You’ve seen them around your neighbourhood and in your street.
Maybe your neighbours have them.
You might even have thought about getting them yourself but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

So let’s see if we can help you to make the decision to get roller shutters. READ ON

What are roller shutters?

Designed to roll down over a window, metal rollers shutters make your home more secure, more private and more attractive. Because they fit very closely and securely over the window, roller shutters make it almost impossible to gain access without a huge effort. It’s just too hard, so your roller shutters send a clear message to potential intruders…’Don’t bother!’

Our roller shutters are made right in Australia (yes, we believe that Aussie made is best!) from high quality aluminium alloy and can be either manually operated or motorised.
They come in smooth and curved face profiles and a wide range of colours, making it simple to co-ordinate the style of your new roller shutters with exterior colours of your home.

Which roller shutters are right for you?

This depends on where you intend to use them and what you need to achieve.

If you’re looking to increase security, improve privacy and reduce noise because you live on a very busy street, roller shutters are the solution that ticks all the boxes.

Perhaps you live in a bush-fire prone location or one exposed to harsh weather conditions. For you, protection from the elements is the main concern. Again, roller shutters are the ideal solution.

You may have commercial premises containing expensive equipment and stock that need to be kept safe and secure after hours. In this case, a heavy-duty commercial roller shutter is the obvious choice to protect your livelihood.

In short, there’s a roller shutter to suit every requirement. The best way to find the right one is to get the right advice from an expert such as one of our trained consultants who pretty much live and breath roller shutters (at least, during work hours.)

How do I keep my roller shutters clean?

Like anything on your home’s exterior, wind, dirt and weather will have an effect over time.
A build up of debris and dirt can impact on the smooth operation of your shutters, so to pays to clean them regularly. Depending on your location, once every three months or so will do the trick. The good news is that it’s simple to do.

First, open the shutters slightly, brush out the ventilation holes and brush away surface dirt.
Then hose them down (normal garden hose pressure is fine) and wash with a mild soap in warm water. Hose off then dry with an absorbent cloth, working from top to bottom.
That’s it.

Remember, to avoid damaging your shutters, don’t use any abrasive cleaners or solvents, scrubbing brushes, steel wool or scrapers.
